4 months after surgery...

Its been about four months now since my GB was removed due to vomiting. (Just found out my HIDA scan was only 5% ). I was wondering if anyone still experienced side effects this long after surgery? the doctor told me the symptoms could last up to six months, and many people I know who have had it out said it lasted up to a year.

In terms of side effects I have been handling fatty foods a bit better, but still shy away from most things heavy in fat. No more fast food or soda for me. at this point I have lost almost 40 pounds. occasionally I still vomit, but this only happens when I eat more food than I should. I have to eat smaller quantities or I will throw up. Or if things are to fatty I get stomach cramping. But most things stay down, and for me at this point that is good enough

I was just wondering if I would ever be able to eat the foods I used to before my GB was removed. As horrible as this is to admit I miss fast food, it was rare for me before, but it was good

Re: 4 months after surgery...

Really the only thing I could not have after my gallbladder removal was orange juice. Still 16 years later the acid bothers me. I think it took a few months to try fried foods again.
