Transduodenal Sphincteroplasty
Hello,

I am desperate to talk to anyone who has had this procedure done. I have suffered with post cholecystectomy syndrome, SOD and billary diskenisia for 3 years. I have had 8 ERCP's with numerous stent placements and sphinterotomy with only temporary relief.

This is the last hope and I am scared to death. Please please if you can take the time to discuss this with me I would be forever gratefull.

I, too, am looking at surgery for my pancreas and my doctor has recommended me for a sphincteroplasty and possible a Whipple procedure. I have been dealing with pancreatitis for over 6 years and also had several ERCP's most of the time with stent placements. We have spent literally tens of thousands of dollars, besides the insurance.
My surgery is in 2 weeks and want to know what to look forward to. Any help would be appreciated.

Correction: lacat87, I accidently posted here thinking you were considering rectal sphincteroplasty (which I had). I forget that we have many "sphincters" in our bodies.

Hope you find someone to discuss your situation with!
