Sensation of Food Stuck in Chest and into Back

Has anyone ever had sensation of food being stuck in the chest and then boring into back? I do have GERD, but the acid reflux has been better. You would think eating something like mash potatoes wouldn't be hard to swallow. But whenever I eat this or something like it, it feels like something is stuck in my chest and it goes straight into my back. I know that problems with GERD can make you feel as though somethings stuck in your throat but would it bore into your back too? Do you think it could be the GERD or something else?

Re: Sensation of Food Stuck in Chest and into Back

I started out with a burning pain that I could feel in my back also. Then I progressed to having problems swallowing, things get stuck in my chest, even liquids. I have had several tests and been to 2 specialists and my diagnosis is non-specific motility disorder.
