for as long as i can remember my food always comes up on me... and now since i am getting older i feel like it is getting worse... like when i am talking to someone all of a sudden there is goes... or even when i am just laying there... most of the time i can catch it and just swallow it again but sometimes it is just so unexpected that it comes out of my mouth... at first it really didn't bother me but now i notice that my teeth are getting yellow and i don't want the enamal coming off of them... does anyone by chance think they know what is goin on or know a special doctor that i can go to... i was goin to go to my regular doctor but i am kinda in the process of finding a new one cause i think mine really sucks...
the regular doctor is a good place to start. At the least they can refer you to some sort of specialist. But a specialist isn't usually suggested until there is at least a theory as to what's wrong.
Could be a food allergy? Does it seem to happen more often after eating certain foods? Keep a food journal of what you're eating.
Weren't your parents concerned for your health growing up? what did they think was wrong, did they ever take you to a doctor?
How are you living if your body isn't keeping anything down!?!
no it happens to all kinds of food and even water... by the time it started i really never told anyone about it till about 2 to 3 years ago... all my food is not coming up but a lot of it does... and i will just keep on swallowing it... and after a while it will stop or when i go to bed...
That's very strange. Your body is rejecting something you're eating for some reason. There has to be a cause.. something physically wrong, or maybe some sort of mental thing. Definitely make a doctors appointment. Its the only place to start.
Sometimes we psych ourselves out with thoughts. I don't know. Maybe something happened to you long ago that caused you to associate food with negativity, and now its your body's natural reaction to food.. to reject it. Maybe its stress. Stress effects the body is all sorts of crazy ways. I just meant that there are more possibilities then an illness causing it. Either way you need to see a doctor.
Do you experience pain after you eat? If so, my doctor suggested a gallbladder problem. I also have the issue of throwing up every time I eat or drink anything (it's been going on for over a month now). However, it could also be a bile duct problem... I had tests done a couple of days ago and it showed that my gallbladder is normal, but I have enlarged bile ducts, which my surgeon told me is usually caused by blockage of the bile duct. So I have tests done tomorrow to find out if that's really my problem. You might want to talk to your doctor about biliary problems, too.
