Hi. I'm a 27 yr old male. I had my wisdom teeth (all 4) pulled out a couple of months ago. I was prescribed 500 mg of Penicillin so that my gums would not get infected. I think that my 'main' problem started soon after.
I think i have IBS.
I'm not sure where I should start. I know that I am lactose intolerant. I never really paid much attention to it because my case was not that severe. Now, I know that if i have some dairy products, I can have gas, some abdominal pain, and some loose stools (if a lot of dairy products, then I will get full blown diarrhea). But if I do not have dairy products I will not have diarrhea, and very seldomly will I have abdominal pain, unless I get anxiety, then I can feel a tightness or cramping, and its always on the lower right side.
Other than that, if i stay away from dairy products, my bowel movements are usually okay. Some days, depending on what I eat, my stools may be a little harder and well formed, and sometimes with more fiber in my diet things will be come out a little smoother. I don't see an issue there...but recently sometimes after a bowel movement i feel like there is still some more to come out, but even if i sit on the toilet, it doesnt really come out. The feeling is right in front of the end of tail bone, probably the rectal area. I am going to see a GI on friday. I am a sucker for dairy products and i have been having them again, so I am wondering if it is related to that, or if i have IBS.
But from my research about IBS and Chron's Disease, it sounds like IBS-A, because I do not have constant diarrhea.
Thanks in advance. Although I have had some abdominal pain or aches for some time in the lower right part of the abdomin, i've almost always ignored it because it would come about after having anxiety.
