Ever since I started high school three years ago, I have had very extreme gas almost at all times. I would literally sit in class in count how many times a minute I could feel another bubble, which sometimes was a total of maybe 15 a minute on bad gas days. I have been to the doctor so many times, even to the gastroenterologist, but nothing works: gas-x, maalox, lactaid, nulev...
It's not stress; I can be in the most comfortable situations, such as on vacations and there is no difference.
It's not the foods I'm eating; I can not eat for awhile and have the worst gas.
I have had no sort of bowel problems, nothing. Just horrendous gas...
I don't know what to do...I don't want to continue having to deal with this awful discomfort and pain for much longer...
Can anybody possibly relate/have ANY suggestions for an END to this? It's so hard to discuss this with anybody...my friends have had absolutely no idea why I have been so uncomfortable at times.
Thanks for your reply...believe me, I have spent many hours researching boards, but nobody has seemed to fit my criteria, so I finally decided to speak up.

Hi , I am findng a bunch of these posts with tese symptoms and everyone has the same answer and its never gluten! Try cutting out all flour from your diet, (cakes, breads, pies, wraps, cookies, breaded coating, gravy, everything!) for a week or two. If your symptoms start going away.. good.. wait a little longer and have a few slices of bread. If your symtoms come back with a roar then you know it is wheat gluten. There is no other test for this, no doctor will diagnose you. It is the elimintion test. Worth a try to find out if this is it!
