gallstones - operatiion - unable to eat

My niece just had her whole gallbladder removed ( laparoscopic surgery) and now finds it impossible to eat anything she likes without feeling very sick. Her normal breakfast is an egg fried in butter. She likes French fries and fast food, hates fruits and vegetables. How can I help her?

Re: gallstones - operatiion - unable to eat

eat Very little at a time... what kind of sickness is she feeling? Fatigue, Cramp or Diarrhea?

Her bile will not be concentrated like before from now on, and it will take time for the body to adjust. I have heard it can take 3month to years.

Without a gallbladder she will have to eat low fat. Hopefully just for a few months but most likely forever.

Fried eggs in butter and french fries? No wonder she's in pain.
