two years ago I had a terrible back pain at work and went home, The next day, my tummy felt funny, hurting but differrnt than the usual flu. I took mysrlf to the Er expecting an anitboitic and being sent home. They insisted on ct scans with contrast and IVP. then they wanted to admit me for a few days of iv antibiotics. I did stay 4 days ( the sulfa drug made me violently ill(thank you zofran!)I felt good and went home for a week before the diverticuli burst and spread infection thru the bowels, Surgery was done next morning. I woke with a colostomy. for three months and have since had a successful reversal, All is clear, I guess but i still don't trust that my body is gonna get me to the end without some serious dicussions as to what is expected of each organ. Seems they fel they can just let loose on a whim. I'm asking for more of a commitment for each organ and system to preform at their peak potential. Haven't come up with the incentive plan rewards yet...
