Re: Nausea with no dx

Usually the GB issues show up with very low % effraction numbers. There have been a few people with reported Hyperkinetic (overactive) gallbladder problems but I haven't seen a lot of information beyond the diagnosis. I don't know if the 80% number is even indicative of that possibility.

Might just try modifying the diet. Ginger (natural, not pills) and/or DGL Licorice tablets are some options to read up on.

Re: Nausea with no dx

81 sounds good to me. My doctor said that they consider surgery if it's less than 35-40. Mine is 32, so removal is a possibility.

My guess is that her gall bladder is not the problem.

In addition to stomach upset, another possible cause of nausea could be migraine headaches.

Migraines aren't necessarily more painful than other headaches (mine aren't) but they sometimes include nausea and visual disturbances. When I'm getting a migraine I have a hard time reading because I see faint white spots on the paper, almost as though I was just looking at a bright light. Some people see stars, auras, even colors. The nausea is the worst part of it for me. I can usually head it off if I take ibuprofen at the first start of the symptoms, and rest in a dark quiet room.

Another possibility: Is she taking any new medications, or taking medications without food? I often feel nauseous if I take anything, even vitamins, on an empty stomach.
