Blood in stool?

For the last several weeks I notice blood in my stool. Fist I thought it was a rectal fissure, as I had that problem before and doctor said it was not harmful. But as I pay more attention to it, the blood is on the latter part of the stool (when I defecate, the first stool that came out was fine, until about 15", then the stool with fresh blood shows up. Starting yesterday, I also feel a light sore inside the right side of my stomach (I think it's where my colon is?). The blood is red, and once the bloody stool came out, blood drips off my anus. What does this means? I am a 34 yr old male, with no serious health problem before. Thanks,

Re: Blood in stool?

It could be another fissure, but you should definitely get it checked out right away. The doctor will probably want you to get a colonoscopy and other tests. They might give you a test for hidden blood in the stool, but maybe not since the blood's not hidden.
