"sand stones" in my stool?

I have started taking an antibiotic for the last 20 days. I started to notice what looked like a sand stone in my stool. I thought about my diet and it isn't from undigested food. These "stones" crumble like a cookie and are a tannish/yellow/green color.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks!

Sounds like you need to drink more water.

Re: "sand stones" in my stool?

I drink about two gallons a day on top of having a few glasses of diet soda and tea.

You drink 2 gal a day of water plus other liq.?!LOL... well apparently not enough because it sounds like extreme dehydration with crumbling poo.

Re: "sand stones" in my stool?

I guess I should clarify a bit. My stool is fine, but I see one to two light colored patched in my stool the size of a dime. They are a nugget shape and crumble with a little bit of pressure. Otherwise my stool, for me anyway, is normal.

I'm wondering if they are gallbladder stones or dried bile...something like that??

Re: "sand stones" in my stool?

It may just be that your cleaning your colon walls very well. Sometimes things stick to the walls and when you've been eating or taking something that plumps up in the colon it can flush out the stuff that is stuck in there. Now if it was mucus and blood that was coming out. I'd be more concerned.

Harry's the master of the colon around here, any thing to add?
