| what is this pain
i keep being woken up by an intense pain that lasts for about 10 minutes, although it seems longer. the pain is behind my ribcage on the right hand side, high up. it is a squeezing type of pain. i have had an ultrasound and colonoscopy and they cant find anything wrong. i dont have a gallbladder as that was removed dec 2007 due to a large amount of stones and full blown gb attacks. this pain is very similar to a gb attack although it doesn't last as long. the surgeon has discharged me and says that the only thing he could do is an exploratory laparoscopic procedure if it remians a problem. this seems a bit drastic to me if they dont think anything is wrong. i would just like to know what the pain is and how to stop it from happening as im starting to get very tired. any thoughts would be appreciated.
