Re: Mild Vomiting while Defecating
It's probably due to temporary indigestion or reflux. Has the vomiting happened at other times too? Do you get a lot of heartburn? When your stomach gets really sensitive, it might not take much to set it off. Reflux can push stomach acid up into your mouth at unexpected times. Sometimes just by bending over a little bit. Antacids and acid blockers are the first line of defense. If it keeps happening, talk to your doctor.
It's unlikely to be a serious problem connecting the two ends of your digestive system, because there is a long set of tubing from one end to the other. I think the worst possibility would be a bowel obstruction, but you'd probably be in a lot of pain. If you can't move your bowels at all, have a fever, and feel sicker by the hour, then you should contact your doctor right away.
I often vomit when I have bad lower abdominal pain. It started when I was in my 20's and had bad period cramps. It happened during childbirth. Now it happens when I have diarrhea or intestinal cramps. It's my body's way of handling pain. But I haven't met anyone else with this odd quirk.
