| Anyone ever get some relief from pancreatic enzymes and what does it mean?
I'm in the long process of trying to figure out what is causing all my digestive problems. Ive had them on and off for years but now I can't work due to my condition. I've tried some different suppliments like magnesium for GERD that didn't seem to help, B complex didn't help, nexium creates more issues, and then I tried panceatin and it helped very much.
Since my symptoms are many, some of them relating to pancreas problems like the burning in the middle of the back everyday and the low grade fevers along with nausea, loss of appetite etc. Since this is the only thing that helps so far I'm thinking that it is a pancreas problem but I also read that people with Celiac disease get relief from enzymes and even children with the disease are given enzymes to help with digestion. All the testing thats been done has not revealed any certain disorder. I mean the pancreas looks normal on CT, no tumors seen on ct or any other digestive studies done so far yet I'm so sick everyday. Blood testing doesn't always come back positive for celiac and the reliablilty of blood testing after all I've read isn't good unless your half dead already. And this is what I feel like sometimes, like I'm dying.
So the question is what does the positive reaction from taking enzymes tell me and where should I go from here? I'm going to see an allergist next week to see if food allergies are a possiblity concerning Celiac but after that the docs are running out of opions for me so it seems. Any advise or experiences in this area would be very helpfull so don't hesitate if your reading this. Thanks,
