My husband is 25 years old and since he was about 14 years old he has had this "disorder" that the doctors can't put a name to. He has been tested for diabetes, IBS, Crones....everything. They even knocked him out and put cameras up his backside and down his front side. Nothing.
On a "good" day this is how he will describe it: Unbearable pain radiating from his stomach area to his intestines. He calls it his "I can't fart or burp disease." But really, that's what it is. He is unable to burp or pass gas and anything carbonated only adds to the problem. On a bad day, he has to "pretend" to make himself throw up....only no food comes up...its all gas. Your antacids and gas medicines dont help. Fiber pills dont help. He also says that he only has a bowel movement every 3 days or so. Maybe this has something to do with it?
What can cause someone to have unbearable pain almost every day (This is an every day occurrence) that won't allow your body to release it's own natural gasses? Any advice would be great. I should also add that he is perfectly heathly other then that. Thank you!
