stomach flu w/ no vomiting or diarrhea

My boyfriend had the "stomach flu" last week, on Sunday -- he was puking and had terrible diarrhea. I did everything I could to disinfect, but I woke up Thursday and spent most of my morning on the floor of the bathroom. However, it is now Saturday and I have still not puked or had diarrhea...I feel TERRIBLE though, so nauseous and exhausted it is even too much energy to watch TV. I've missed almost two entire days of work and am just wondering if it is possible to get gastroenteritis without vomiting or diarrhea? I drink a lot of maalox and am also severely emetophobic and I know the symptoms can be very different from person to person.

I know these bugs are going around and just wanted some input. Thanks.

Re: stomach flu w/ no vomiting or diarrhea

Yep, I've been sick and barely able to eat anything for 5 days, but no diarrhea or vomiting. At this point, I think it would have been easier if I had actually had them. My daughter had a stomach virus with all of the usual symptoms, so I am pretty sure I have the same virus, but it is acting differently on me. Does anyone know if it takes longer to recuperate when you don't throw up.
