upper right abdominal and back pain - Digestive Disorders Message Board

About two weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night with severe upper right abdominal right that radiated to my back and shoulder. Went to urgent care where they took chest and abdominal xrays, abdominal ultra sound, and blood work. Everything turned out normal except mild anemia.
My PC put me on hyomax to control gallbladder spasms. I still have pain in my back and abdomen(although not as severe). What can this possibly be?

It sounds like an attack of gallstone colic. That is how this feels. It can be one of the most severe pains you will ever have; if it were me , I would ask for a test for gallstones.
