So guys here is whats up with me. Since I've turned 19 I always had an array of stomach issues, which have gradually gotten worse or more annoying. It originally started off with Diarrhea in the morning's. Since then I have had Diarrhea, Constipation, Flat Ribbon Stool, Normal Stools, Different Color stool, gas (foul smelling), bloating, back pain, stomach noises. I've been through the ringer with tests, i was scoped from from both ends when I was 20 (Just turned 26). Had ultrasounds, xray's, blood tests, you name it.
Recently I went to the doc again, and he seems to think IBS as nothing ever turned up from any of my tests. He said to increase my fiber and watch my diet.I was put on Levothyroxine because the blood work he sent me for showed me I had a TSH of 8.5.
Everytime I try to get my 25-30 grams of fiber daily in i get very uncomfortable and bloated and my stomach makes crazy noises. Which drives my nuts. Does this go away. Last time I upped my fiber this lasted for like 2 or 3 weeks and I said the hell with it and cut back. Currently trying to up it again with the same issues. Sounds like my stomach is at war with itself.
Through the years along with this i've had chest pains, back pains, dry skin, fatigue, anxiety, my hair line is receeding, my feet and elbows are dry and cracking, i get skin boils and have vision problems. Also throughout the years I have woken up periodically during the night with what I could only call whole body tremors. I was totally alert and able to function, but my body was sort of like quivering. It would take a few minutes to gain composure and have this stop.
I orginally though I had some type of horrible bowel cancer, but all my tests throughout the years were normal.
I'm currently coming to the conclusion that I may have a food allergy. I am currently cutting out gluten (I have never been test for celiac) and dairy to see what happens. I am think gluten may be a good possibility due to my thyroid issues.
What do you guys think. Does it sound like I might be on the right track?
