constant hunger, burning in upper stomach-gastritis?
I have had a feeling of terrible hunger pangs for that last two or three days. I also have a little burning feeling in my upper stomach. The burning is not bad but the hunger pangs are awful. The don't seem to come after or before a meal. They have just been pretty constant. Is this gastritis? This has happened before. The first time was about 10 years ago and it lasted about 2 or 3 weeks and was awful. I remember trying everything but nothing worked. It finally went away. This has happened several time since then. Eating does not seem to relieve it much. I don't have any other symptoms (No belching, nausea, vomiting, feeling of fullness, etc...). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Re: constant hunger, burning in upper stomach-gastritis?
I have the same symptom, plus a constant pressure pain in my upper abdomen, right below my rib cage. It gets better when I burp (which happens frequently) but the pain never goes away. It was like this for the past couple of days. Also, my hunger pangs happen, even if I just ate. a strong gnawing hunger pain, stronger than a normal "hungry feeling". I started Prilosec OTC yesterday, but so far no change.
