inflammation of the stomach and small intestine
2 weeks ago I had went in to have the UGI done. Well today I went to see the doctor on a follow up and was told that I have inflammation of the stomach and small intestine. He said that the meds he put me on which is Omeprazole. But the thing is that the pain is still there and I have gained over 30LBs. Not liking that one bit. But why am I gaining all this weight I bearly eat and when I do it bothers my stomack or I have bad diarrea. I just want to get to the bottom of all of this. So please anyone I NEED HELP!!

I am not sure what test you had done? (UGI?) But it does not sound normal to be gaining 30 pounds in such a short time? ARe you seeing a Gastroenterologist? What is the doctor saying about the imflamation in the intestine? It sounds like you need to go back to the doctor and get this checked out. Please let us know how it turns out.
