Yellow loose bowel movements

Hello,
I have been having yellow loose bowel movements, usually not to long after eating. This has been going on for at least 2 weeks now. I had my Gallbladder out early may 2011,which had 1 very lg. Stone. I was to;d that my bowels would change after surgery. My bowels did not change much at all until now. Would this been normal for post op this long after? I do have a history of GERD,but I have not been having any gastric reflux in the last week or so. I have these BM's4-5 times a day. They are very yellow and loose. Sure hope you can help.
Sincerely
Terry

Re: Yellow loose bowel movements

Consider going to see a Gastroenterologist to get this checked out, stool samples and other tests should be run. It sounds like the bile created by your liver is irritating your intestines as you no longer have a gallbladder to store this bile. My GI gave me a Rx for Welchol 8 weeks after my surgery. I am 7 months post op and still can't eat fatty foods and salads without paying the price! Good luck and hope you can see a doctor soon, please let us know how you're doing.
