maryray52 Newbie (female) Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Yankton, SD USA Posts: 2	EGD "normal" but they did biopsy anyway? I had an EGD the other day and the nurse said everything was "normal but they did a biopsy anyway to make sure there was not any infection. I have lost about 35 lbs in the last 3 or 4 months and trying jto get to the bottome of what is causing it. So now I have a colonoscopy on January 10th. Was thinking of cancelling it since the first test was normal but I am going so my husband will leave me alone. Why do they really biopsy if test is normal?
