Talking Abdominal pain with few answers.....

Hello, I am 30 years old and have been dealing with abdominal pain since 2009. It began in the upper right area just under my rib. The pain was also followed by nausea after eating, not being able to eat very much, I lost about 10 lbs., occasional dizziness and inconsistent bowel (normal to watery to thin, sometimes silty?) I have had CT's, ultrasounds, barium xrays, endoscopy's and many.... blood tests. I was treated for gastritis and and an ulcer via prilosec and diet change. I have gotten the upper right side pain pretty much under control for about a year now.
My bowel as listed above has not really changed since then. I now have pain in the lower right pelvic area and have had normal paps, ultra sounds, some tenderness during a pelvic exam and was told the tenderness was a tendon. I have not injured myself or strained myself to the point that a strained tendon would last for a year.... I'm not sure what my next step should be. I've been to the Dr. SOOO many times and have left with no real answer... I have not had any fevers, and have not been nauseated. I sometimes have the sensation of my intestines contracting more than normal... I have put the weight back on and have purposely tried to put on more just to be sure that I could. Any ideas out there? Thank you!

Re: Abdominal pain with few answers.....

So have they said anything about your gallbladder? I dealt with similar things as you for years. I finally got a doc to take my gallbladder out. I did feel much better. For me though I do in fact have pancreatitis so it didn't all go away. Unfortunately digestive problems are so hard to figure out unless totally obvious. What exactly as far as pain goes do you have? What about your bowel habits and stools? do they ever get greasy or just diarrhea? Usually people loose weight with pancreatitis, but it's not always the case. I have gained weight and lost it. so it can go either way. Do you ever get pains in your back? Also, pains in the middle of your stomach is common with pancreas or bile duct problems.

Thanks for your reply, I have had my GB checked and my organs in different blood tests and everything seems to come back normal. I do still suspect my GB at times because if I do eaty a fried or greasy meal it usually aggravates that area and yes, results in a greasy outcome. (so sorry about the details eew). I think I've got the upper business under control for the most part. Now, it's this lower right pain that won't go away! Again have had blood tests etc. They keep thinking it's not my appendix so, I'm hoping to get in for an ultra sound and an MRI. Ct scan is my last resort. Have had one, and am not really down with the radiation. Thanks again so much for your reply!

Re: Abdominal pain with few answers.....

Well hope all goes well. It took me some time to finally get my gb out. Even thought the tests were shown to be fine once the gb was out it was swollen and infected.

Swollen and all with normal results. Scary.... To not know until it's removed.

Have you had a HIDA scan to check for GB function? I would recommend one....anything below 35% or above 75% ejection rate is considered non functioning.
