Im trying to find out whats wrong with me!!!!
Im beginning to think its a stomach ulcer of some sort.
this has been going on since the end of november with alot of different symptoms.
at the moment my main symptoms are...
#sharp darting pain just under breast bone, this comes and goes but can always feel a gnawing.
#worsens as i begin to get hunger
#salty foods make it worse.. i think!
#if i lean over i can feel the pain worse
i take gaviscon after most meals now. i do not have reflux, heartburn, indigestion.
iv had xray, bllod test and an ultra sound... all clear. but an ultra sound dosent examine the stomach.
can anyone please help? Its driving me mad!!
Im going back to doc this morning but would like any advice you can offer.

When I had a stomach ulcer my symptoms were an awful pressure type pain (could be classed as Knawing) behind my bellybutton, terrible Nausea, and a regurgitating feeling after eating and belching. In my case I also bought up blood through my mouth but this dosent nessessarily happen.
I was sent for an Endoscopy that revealed I had had an Ulcer and also had H.Pylori. H.P will cause the same type of symptoms and is known to be the cause of Ulcers.
To diagnose what your symptoms might be, wether H.P or an Ulcer you would need an Endoscopy.

oh your symptoms sound very upsetting. Im sure it was awful.
iv been to doc today and hes put me on zotrole for 2 weeks and going to assess me again after that. maybe triple therapy if no better. for other medical reasons i cant have a scope. so i guess il have to wait and see.

Zotrole is for the treatment of Stomach Ulcers or Relux.

It could be as simple as trapped gas. I get this kind of pain and it usually ends up being trapped gas that I can't get rid of until I move my bowels and then it goes away. Get your gall bladder checked out to make sure it's working properly or and a chest x-ray to rule out fluid in or around your lungs. These are the only things I could think of right now,maybe others will give you some other possibilities.
