I had LUQ pain, chronic nausea. Diagnosed with h.pylori in Oct '11. Did the full regimen of antibiotics (that was rough). Pain felt better, but still vaguely there. Continued with Omaprazole after completing antibiotics. LUQ pain (localized, just at the lower end of my ribcage and slightly behind it) has returned with a vengence. Pain is relieved somewhat after a BM. Pain is usually "achy" but becomes sharp and stabbing after I eat an orange or anything acidy. If I don't take the Omaprazol, within 6 hours, the nausea is back.
Any ideas? Ulcer? I'm sick of feeling this way. I have a appt for a overall physical on Feb 20 with my general practitioner.
Hi,
After I had treatment for H.Pylori it took months before my stomach felt right.
I also took PPI for a few weeks after but felt better without it and finally left them off.
For the Nausea I would recommend Domperidone, I found it helped also Fresh Ginger in hot water. I also took ALOE-VERA JUICE. You also need to take a good PROBIOTIC for a few months as Antibiotics can be very harsh on the stomach and to replace the good bacteria.
I hope you soon feel much better,
