I am older than most I have read about, but last year was my first time with this bowel issue, I had all the tests last fall, went on antibotics for 3 weeks and haven't had to many problems since, but Sunday, I had terrible cramping out of the blue, of course I blamed it on what I ate for lunch, but what I ate would not have normally caused any of what I had, it last a couple hours then I was fine. I am very careful of what I eat, I stopped drinking pop, drink cranberry juice ( like another person I thought I had a bladder infection when it first started and seems that is involved when my intestines press and it doesn't empty properly,) also drink tea, have cut sugar to a minumium, don't eat corn and what nuts I eat are just a few walnuts each day, dr said as long as I chew them 40 times, then laughed and said no one could do that.
Hope to get feedback from anyone especially ones with the bladder involvement.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to go see a urologist. They deal with bladder problems. If you urinate frequently, have painful cramping,,in general feel crummy, you might have interstitial cystitis.I had similar symptoms, and although there is no cure, this condition is helped through diet and medicine. If you do have this, the very things you are ingesting makes it worse. No tea, cranberry juice, citrus juice, chocolate, and other diet changes. It requires a very specific diet to help. Best wishes to you.
