Still have no idea what's going on with me.

I have been seeking constant reassurance on this issue for like 7 months...I still have no idea what's going on with me. Since about November of last year, I've been very bloated in my lower abdominal area. It fluctuates now and then (I still have some "skinny" days), but overall my abdominal area above my pubic bone and below my belly button has been hard and bloated...so much so that I can hardly suck in. The last few days have been particularly bad...I look like I'm about 3 months pregnant. I had an endoscopy a few months back and they found that I have an inflamed esophagus and hiatal hernia. Although the pain in that area has eased a lot since being on medication, the discomfort in my lower abdomen has never stopped. I worry constantly that I'm pregnant (although it's not necessarily possible), or that I have some type of life threatening disease. There's a heaviness in my tummy that makes me very nervous and it feels like there's a brick sitting directly behind me belly button.

I'm just not sure what to do anymore. My parents are hesitant to take this seriously I think (they just think I'm constipated...) and I don't want to rack up any more medical bills. But I am terrified every day that something is terribly wrong. I am a thin person, only 22 years old (female), and generally very healthy (with eating habits, etc) so it is extremely noticeable when something like this is happening. I just want to be comfortable and feel good again.

I realize that my symptoms are pretty general and can't be diagnosed online. I'm just at the end of my rope. I can't seem to find an answer or reassurance in anything. Every search I enter online comes up with pregnancy or ovarian cancer...it's worrisome. I'm just looking for some kind of guidance.

Re: Still have no idea what's going on with me.

I would tell you to try a probiotic containing lactobacillus gastrii. It has been the miracle med for my daughter and I.

The only OTC version that I am aware of is Phillips Colon Health.

My DD has dietary fructose intolerance and severe constipation. I have severe IBS with Constipation. and both of us had massive bloating.

I was sent some research from my aunt who lives overseas and spoke with my gastro about it and he told me to try it for both of us.

We are both "normal" no more bloating. No bathroom issues at all.

not to put you down but i tried that phillips and a couple other expensive ones and none helped me at all with bloating constipation or early satiety, waste of time and money for me. But maybe it can help other people.
