Gastroparesis

Does anyone have this disorder? My GI doctors (both of them) suggested testing for this, and I am in the process of scheduling testing. My only symptoms were acid reflux, some constipation and gasey spasms in abdomen. I never have nausea or vomiting. I would appreciate any comments on this.

Re: Gastroparesis

I have acid reflux and gastritis (burning pain on the left side). My doctor recommended a stomach emptying study, and we found that I do have mild gastroparesis. I don't really have nausea or vomiting, but I've found that during my worst gastritis or reflux flares, eating low-fiber can help.

Re: Gastroparesis

I don't have nausea or vomiting either, but I have spasms in my stomach, and a terrible gasey feeling in my chest. Does that sound familiar?

Re: Gastroparesis

Constipation is not exactly a symptom of GP, but it's related. GP is specifically a slow stomach, while constipation is slow movement in the intestines, but both involve digestive muscles moving incorrectly or too slowly.
