Spasms in the lower belly

I have gastritis and now I feel bloating and spasm in my lower belly. Kind of like when you have menstrual cramps. My doctor told me that has nothing to do with gastritis. Could this be instestinal spasm? is this dangerous?

Re: Spasms in the lower belly

That sounds like what we call "gas pain." It's usually not serious or dangerous. Sometimes adjusting the amount of fiber, fruit, meat or fat in your diet can help.
