[COLOR="Blue"]I have many GI problems, but the one about which I am most concerned is that a recent blood test showed that I have a high VIP level (93). I've had chronic diarrhea for more than a year, but I had a colonoscopy 2 yrs. ago that was normal, had a flex. sigmoidoscopy 2 weeks ago along with biopsies & that was all normal; stool specimens were checked about a yr. ago for blood and infections but were all normal. Now, this last blood work shows a high VIP level. The only thing I have found on internet that relates to high VIP level is pancreatic cancer! Can anybody tell me if there could be any other cause for a high VIP level but CANCER?? Any information would be extremely appreciated.[/COLOR]
