Cause of my right abdomen/quadrant pain?
I have been having upper right quadrant pain for years now. It is about two inches up from my belly button and two inches to the right of that. My dr first thought it was an upper abdominal hernia, because it can hurt when I move. It can also hurt if I press on it, so I have had CBCs and liver panels done as well. They have all come back perfect, the last one was done just last week. I would describe the pain as sharp and it can last for minutes to a couple of hours. It seems to go away if I lay flat on my back. Eating sometimes will affect the pain, sometimes not. I know now that stress does not cause ulcers. But I have always had anxiety issues and when these flare up I do notice the pain. I don't feel sick to my stomach. I am active. I don't smoke or drink. I don't take any medications. 5'9" 160lbs. Can anyone tell me what they think is going on? Hernia? Ulcer? Gallstones? Muscle Pull? Thanks.
