Billary Reflux & Duodenal Ulcer?
I have been having a lot of abdominal pain which my doc first attributed to the gallbladder, I had a HIDA Scan done and turns out my GB is functioning normally. I do have several small polyps which the doc said should not be causing pain. He is going to monitor those over time and if they grow bigger he will need to remove my GB.
The HIDA Scan showed that I have some Billary Reflux into my stomach. This is diff from Acid Reflux in that it is Bile vs Stomach Acid that I am regurgitating. Has anyone here had that and would you be willing to share info about it? I am scheduled for an EDG procedure on Monday as the doc also thinks that I have a Duodenal Ulcer (Ulcer in my small intestine) so he wants to run the scope down my throat to check on that. He said that could explain the anemia if the ulcer is bleeding. (I am also anemic and take Iron Supplements daily for that). The burning pain in my upper right quadrant is apparently coming from the probable ulcer.
