Never really any discomfort but sort of bloated after all meals no matter how small, and hard to say right after because it's usually a few hours later. And this is accompanied by bupring a lot. Very guttural and belching like burps. It's not a ton and not completely uncontrollable but it's noticeably odd how much. This burping also includes burping up some 'stuff' from the stomach, kind of acidic and the taste of what ever I had eaten hours before and sometimes a feeling of like a lump in the middle of my chest, not like food stuck nor like a big lump in the esphagus but a generally odd feeling along with the belching like there's something there wanting to be burped up. Again, this feeling comes by a few hours after eating whether it be a turkey sandwich or some soup or on the day I splurged for a football game and had a couple slices of pizza and so far it seems to come on and stay fairly constant whether i'm sitting, laying down or standing up/being active.
It actually almost feels like it is coming on when I should be hungry. When I do have that bit of bloating/gassy feeling eating actually helps subside it and I typically feel 100% after a meal and it's not until a few hours later that that bit of bloating and belching will start back up. I have been having regular bowel movements but oddly small, not like small and lumpy like i've read is common when constipated but just small and seemingly not enough to account for what I ate the previous day even though i've cut down on my food intake and eating much more regularly and a higher fiber diet it still seems like I should be having a larger movement each day.
Some of the likely misinformed google'n of symptoms points to things such as acid reflux to more severe things like gallbladder issues and everything between.
I have no insurance so hoping for some help/ideas before throwing money away. Is there some kind of specialist I should look into before wasting another visit to my family practice doctor or does this sound like it's just a body adjusting to a change in the diet? I would tend to think and hope it's the latter but still feel semi-worried about some of the symptoms and how they do seem to fit some things (especially the excessive burping) and that this started after spending a week being pretty sick.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes and no. Going on 3 months now and my eating habits and excercise routine has become near immaculate after steadily getting better week after week. But the symptoms never went away and infact the heartburn like symptoms continued to get worse. And continued to happen after every meal, 3 times a day. I tried Zantac and then antacid stuff, the 24 hour and instant heart burn relief and they did nothing. If I ate just an apple for breakfast I had to deal with pain and non stop burping starting 1-2 hours after eating and lasting for the next 2-3 hours.
Now where the 'yes' comes in is I am now in the process of taking the 14 day dose of the prilosec stuff and by day 4 it seemed to have stopped all the pain. Still constant burping after anything I eat but the heart burn-like pain was pretty much non existant. Then a couple days later it started back up again and now on like day 8 and i'm getting the pain again though it seems to be noticably less.
So i'm still unsure if this is just gerd and heart burn issues or something more. after the holiday season now i really can't afford seeing a specialist at all but everything i read about gerd and acid reflux mentions regular heart burn is when you get it 2-3 times a week, i get the symptoms every day after every meal no matter how small and still have the excessive amount of burping.
I have been having the same exact problem for the past 1-2 months now and I also do not have the money to go see a specialist. But I am currently a college, have been doing the Paleo diet on and off for the past year now. This diet consists of basically meats, veggies, and fruits. Both dairy and grains are cut out of the diet. But I eat healthy and lift somewhat regularly, my first notion was that it was an ulcer, which I was told by my best friend's mom who is a nurse but now that I tell her I am regularly able to burp up food if I choose for it to come up all the way and she thinks that I may have a blockage somewhere. However, she has told me to try to eat stuff like broths and jello and pudding and that kind of stuff for a few days to give my system time to hopefully get back on track. I'm not sure what it is but it is not a fun feeling at all and I am hardly ever able to drink water after dinner time because it only makes the symptoms that much worse. But in the morning time it doesn't seem to do it nearly as often for some reason. Maybe it's because I eat mostly eggs for breakfast which are fairly smooth and I believe easy to go down. But I will try the broth for a few days and eggs for breakfast(still) and hope that this helps a little bit. Let me know if you come across anything, I may go to my campus doctor and see if she can think of any ideas of what I could do.
