| Does anyone here have SOD?
Ive had upper left sided (sometimes right) stabbing pains on and of for 4 yrs. They last a second, I can get them all throughout the day or just a couple. I can have a few normal months and then a long flare. Other than that I get acid issues and malabsorbtion. The pains take my breath away, very deep. My lipase has been high once, and then its usually mildy elevated-in example Im in the worst and longest flare Ive been in since it started and Im only 5 pts above normal.
My dad did die of pan cancer so I get an EUS each yr to view my pancreas. It has always (thank God) been normal aside from an incomplete divisum which ppl are born with.
I know there could be a number of factors causing this pancreatitis.
However, a few people I know said this sounded more like SOD. Any input? I am having scans next wk
