| Hungry feeling/gurgling - ???
I am 23yrs old, male. I have gastritis which was diagnosed a little over a month ago with an endoscopy.
Lately I have been having constant gurgling in my stomach. I notice it a lot when I lay down / sit. I have been getting my appetite back but I have been having a lot of health anxiety over the last 2 weeks which made me lose my appetite to an extent. I had some blood work done to check for hyperthyroidism which I should be hearing back from in a couple days.
The symptoms I am curious / worried about are:
-why is my stomach gurgling on/off throughout the entire day and I have the "hunger pains" in the morning fairly bad.
-my stools are fine, I am not constipated but when I wipe, the toilet paper looks as if it has urine on it.
-the only medication I am on is Protonix (pantoprazole) @ 40mg
I am wondering what else I need to check / look for. It is extremely frustrating.
I have lost 3lbs in about 12 days but I can honestly say my calorie intake almost each of those days was barely over 1500 and I do have a fairly fast metabolism (6'0 @ 160lbs).
Last I had blood work done in November my blood work came back fine (Testosterone, electrolytes, etc.)
I tested negative on all the biopsies from the endoscopy.
I am a hypochondriac and started looking online and got caught up with information on my pituitary gland and things going on there.
Any thoughts?
Is this all normal?
I have no stomach pain, no cramps, nothing. Just gurgling noise likes it's air/water moving around and it feels like everything I eat just gets absorbed within minutes.
