Hi there i was wondering if anyone could identify with me.
Last year I had severe pain in my abdomen, I was in hospital and had a laproscopy, ultrasounds and a colonoscopy. They found out I had mild colitis. Gave me the meds and it seemed to help.
2weeks ago I had a stomach virus and the started to get proper pain in the right upper side of my abdomen and to my back. At this point i was feeling full up but couldnt eat because of nausea. My doctor sent me to the hospital because she thought i could have something wrong with my gallbladder. Next day I had an ultrasound which found nothing on my gallbladder.
The doctors said ive had lots of tests last year and make your g.p refer you to the gastro specialist.
Im still in quite a bit of pain, very nauseas, feel full up after a biscuit, and have pain worse after i eat and am usually sick after most things. My weight has dropped 8pounds in just under 2weeks.
The pain i feel is sharp and also there alot, on both my upper right and left.
Ive switched milk to soya, thinkin it might help, but no, i even end up bringing that up when i have a cuppa.
I read about gastroparesis and i seem to be able to identify for the symptoms. I dont know if my specialist will know about this condition because it seems rare. Has anyone else experienced this? what happened and how were you diagnosed?
My referral could take up to 18 weeks, but they aim for 6weeks. I d0ont think i can put up with this until then. There are some days i just have to lie in bed because of the nausea and pain. Ive had to cancel plans too.

Hi, I have had very similar symptoms to you and I am to worried about the diagnosis of gastroparesis, my doctor had to google it because he wasn't sure what it was. I have been suffering from severe nausea and lack of appetite for a while now. Have you found out what has been causing these problems?
