Weird pain after eating for a week
For about a week I've been having trouble eating. It started on Sunday after I had a burger for lunch. I went home and started having horrible cramps that felt like I was going to have diarrhea, only I didn't have diarrhea. When I finally passed a stool, it was kind of weird-looking, like clay. After that I took it easy and stuck to light foods for a few days, thinking I must have eaten something bad or just had a bug. I tried to eat some greasy stuff on Tuesday and immediately felt more cramping. Backed off and stuck to light things like rice and plain pasta. I managed to eat a plain hamburger one night with no trouble, but even a salad the next day started messing me up. Since then I have been eating very little and only light foods.
The pain itself is what's weird. It starts right after I eat usually, sometimes while I'm still eating, and it feels like a dense pressure around my bellybutton. I sort of feel like I'm going to have diarrhea, but again, I don't. Not even gas. It goes away a little while after my food has had time to settle, but the pain seems to be coming from right in the middle of my gut (belly button and slightly to the right), not my stomach. I also keep having weird burps every now and then that taste like rotten eggs. Occasionally I experience nausea between meals or right when the cramps are happening. I've also found that if I press down on my bellybutton or slightly to the right side, I feel a weird, dense kind of pain, like someone's squeezing a band around my middle.
So yeah, does anyone know what this could be? And what should I do about it? Is it time to see a doctor?
