My husband and I did. There was a lady in our state reps office that works with these issues. Her statement was "We can't influence their decision", to which we told her that was fine we just wanted them to get off their butts and either deny or approve (we were at the second stage). She sent a letter off to them (sending us a copy) with the state reps. letterhead asking about the case. They were informed within two weeks that it was then in Chicago being audited. She called to let us know that 90% of the cases that go there are approved and she said give it 3 weeks. Two weeks later the caseworker called to get all the vital information as to where to send the checks! I always recommend when you feel you've hit a dead end to seek your state reps help.
