i have pn - and muscle spasms. I can't do half the housework much less a job due to the pain - every week I sleep for 2 days straight (this past week from thrusday night to sat morning). Also can't type/spell like I used to.
they are sending me to neuromuscular doc to see if they can figure me out.
do i have a chance at disability now? I haven't worked since a few yrs ago - part time but I have enough work time in to get it.
How soon is your doctors appointment?? Do you have ANY documentation to help support your claim for disability? I would say there is no harm to apply if you have some sort of medical documentation. The sooner you apply the sooner you may get your decision. If you are denied then there is the appeal process. But if you ONLY have medical documentation from a general practioner I would say to wait till after you have seen a specialist.
I would say then to apply. You can do it on line. Or they can send you the forms to fill out. If you would feel more confortable contact a Lawyer that specializes in Social Security Disability. They can help guide you. I am not sure how it works on their payment on the intial application. I know they have guidelines and fees if you use them for appeals. Most times the intial consult is free. I had no difficulty applying on line. You just have to go to the office or send(don't advise) your original birth certificate. They can even do the interview over the phone.
