Hello Everyone,

I just wanted you to know that I went before the ALJ on yesterday and won my case..The judge actually gave me a bench decision...yippppeeee

I had applied in 2004....I am still in shock but, wanted to encourage everyone else who are waiting for a decision to hang in there because help is on the way...trust and believe it's coming....

Thanks...tell me how long did it take before you got the notice and your first check...i will also get for my daughter who is 14...

I couldn't tell you how long to expect the first payment. I was one of the fortunate ones and did not have to go through any delays. But we are in an appeal process for my husband's disability so I too will be anxious to get his retro. His will be from 10/02 (didn't apply till 8/2005) but were told that if he wins they will go back to 10/02.

I applied in December of 2002 and was accepted in May 2003. My backpay check came by July 2003 and regular monthly checks stated in August.

My primary problems are a bone disease with many skeletal deformities, really bad asthma with markedly small lungs. There some other things, but I'm too tired to remember what they are right now
