WHAT ARE SOME OF THE SERVICES OFFERED TO PEOPLE RECEIVING SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY? HOUSING?, ETC.

There are many options for people recieving SSDI if you meet certain income guidelines. It depends on the county and state where you reside. People with disabilities fall into a different income guideline than those who are just low income. You can't change jobs or work so your income level can be higher. You could be eligible for food stamps, LIEAP, local utility- electric +/or gas reduction costs, Medicaid, Title 8 housing, food banks, childcare cost reduction, meals on wheels, transportation services.
I'm not sure if there are any more but maybe someone from a different state can shed more info on this subject for you.

Actually in my state its the income that is the guideline, not weather you receive SSDI or not.

Old Age and disability (no matter the age) are grouped togather per our "welfare" office but it is still the actual income amount that decides the help you get or not.

The entire household's income is considered, not just the disabled person's.

The old age and disability are one group and people with minor children are placed in a diff group.

It is EXTREMELY hard to find low income houseing in my area.
Most lists are "closed" no matter what your income or physical ability is due to such long waiting lists already existing.
Sec 8 applications are not even given out in my county because the waiting list is over 5 years.
