Hi-

My brother is also disabled, so when I read your email, I completely understood what you were asking about. It is extremely hard for me to look at him and then realize that I am still "normal" when he should be, but isn't, according to some people. What I try to do is to look at him and think to myself how much of a better person he is now. He has so much more strength and courage than any other normal person does. He faces obstacles that "normal" people don't even have to encounter on a day to day basis. My advice....be proud of him and show it. Brag about him to your friends, do things with him, and please take the opportunity to listen and talk to him. It will end up helping you and him. Good luck!

Hey.

I myself have a disability and it has left me wheelchair bound. I often feel bad for my two younger sisters especialy a few years ago becuase they have done a lot to help me. I sometimes feel that I hold them back and even though our parents have always treated us the same they sometimes use me as an example of always being good and them having less trouble with me then my sister emma who is 14.

She is going through a rebelious stage and constantly seems to be the one who is always in trouble, I admit sh eis a live wire but she is just hormoneal and a bit frustrated.

I can see how all of you feel having disabled siblings as I am the disabled sibling and becuse my problems are purely physical and there is nothing wrong with me mentaly, I end up the one feeling guilty.

Love Kirsty
