SSD denial # 1 - Disabilities Message Board

Well I was expecting to get denied the first time I applied for ssd, but it still was sickening when I read the denile letter I just received. Now what should I do....Hire my atty. or not. Try to appeal myself or just hand it over and give up the 25% of backpay if granted.? I spent the last three months online reading about other folks stories and what worked and what didn't work. After all that reading I am more confused now then ever. Any updated ideas you guys have would sure help..

Hi. From what I have experienced and read it is time for you to hire a good Social Security Disability Lawyer.

Hi Don't get discouraged, I got denied twice and have a court date for March 11th. It seems that many get deinied. I got an attorney, I really think it's a good idea especially if you have to go to court. A lawyer who has xperience just gives me peace of mind.

Let us know what you are gonna do.

PS I think those are form letters they basically say the same thing.

I don't think I'm even going to mess around, I will call my atty. today and see what he says. I have too much riding on all of this.
It's funny how long everything takes, nobody is ever in a hurry to get something done for you. People just don't understand that no income is a hard thing to deal with... Thanks all. I will update.
