and told the worker my SSI should be coming through soon, she said I can probably get a year back pay. I didn't know about this but it sure would be a blessing.
Has anyone else gotten SSI and then back pay from the date of onset ?

I didn't do much research on SSI but everything I've read about it says YES you will be getting some sort of back pay. I don't know if it's based on the onset date or the date of filing. I'm sure the answer is somewhere on this board. Hope you are doing ok today.

did your letter say when they found you disabled?

thats what they are taking for my back pay, if i still qualify.
Mine is only from july 07, till march 08. cuz with the ssdi i will be getting its to much to get both.

Even though I have been disabled for a long time, I agreed to 3-07
