Tired of waiting - Disabilities Message Board

I checked my account like I do every morning and nothing was there. I am so sick of waiting on this back-pay I could scream. They say we will have our first SSDI payment on or about the 3rd of July. That is wonderful and I am grateful-believe me! But, I desperatley want the back-pay,I owe family and friends money that we have borrowed to get throught the last 2 years. I'd just like to be able to give it back. I want us to be able to go foward with our lives, we have debts we need to pay with that back-pay and things that we need to buy for ourselves (like tires for my car would be nice!). I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening and good luck to everyone living this nightmare too!

they told me it would be 6-8 weeks for my ssdi back pay AFTER my first monthly payment.

i got my ssi backpay before that i think....
just hang in there it will come..

Thanks for the encouragement auntduci37. It gives me hope to hear when things have worked out for other people! I will try to be strong and patient. But as the saying that my grandmother has had hanging in her house goes-"grant me patience Lord,but hurry!" Thanks for the info!

It will come, If you look back I was vented the same rant, and about a 2 weeks later I got my back pay. a week or so after I got my first SSDI payment.

I hear you. I think we were approved about the same time. Still waiting here also. There is no lawyer to pay which make it quicker. If you had a lawyer you can call and se if he was paid yet, they pay him first. Then at least you know it will be soon if his payment was issued yours follows soon after.
