I requested my medical file - Disabilities Message Board

Hello all, I called SSD people today and asked them for my medical file and they said i would have to send them a letter, so thats what i did.How long do you think it will take for me to get my records from them ?
Also i had to call my doctor today and make a appointment to see him because i have been in sooooooo much pain these last 4 days.They made me a appointment for July30th. Can you believe that ? It sucks.. What in this world does it take for someone to listen to me about how much pain i am in ?

I called and got mine. I was already approved. I'm just nosy and OCD about keeping records. Call your local office and ask them for it.I had it in 2 days.

I called them and they said that they would have to have it in writing. So i dent the a letter yesterday.Woner how ling it will take to get my files now. Maybe if i am LUCKY i might get them next month.. lol

I got mine just by calling as well. They sent some on a disc and a big stack of my medical records. Probably just the person who answers the phone. They all tell you something different.

I will call them tomorrow again, but what number did you call ? The number in Columbia SC or one in your town ? Karen
