Hello everyone .. I was denied for my SSDI and SSI so i am looking for a lawyer for my disability. When you guys got your lawyers did you find them in your state or what ? I want a lawyer that just deals with SSDI. Thanks so much.. Karen
Hello, I have thought about them.. I sent allsup some info online today and they will send me some paper work in the mail. After i get that filled out and mailed to them then what happenes ? I got my reconsideration form in the mail today, do i feel that out now or after i find a lawyer ? Thanks.. Karen
Karen, you can do the reconsideration on your own. Your representative wouldn't really do anything differently from what you would do, so why pay someone else if you would get approval at this stage?
I have a personal advocate who was highly recommended to me. I have a lot of respect for her. She has integrity! She also has an "in" with the judges, who allow her to bring 3-4 cases at a time before them, fully worked up and without the patient being there. She has a 97% success rate and only takes 10-15 cases a year. I'm so grateful that she was willing to take mine!
My yellow pages listed tons of lawyers who do only disability. If you want to go that route, just browse through them and make some phone calls. See if there's someone you seem to click with and who is accessible.
Hello all, well i got in touch with a great specialist SSDI lawyer in S.C. My Long Term Disability lawyer referred him to me. They asked me alot of questions and they are going send me alot of paperwork to fill out ASAP and get it back in the mail as soon as i get them filled out.
I am sooooo glad i got a lawyer that quick.
