Because some states your ssdi amount is to great for medicaid. The longer you work and your rate of pay determines how much you get from ssdi. ssi always get's medicaid.
Almost every city has hospital or clinics where you can get service and scrips on a sliding scale usually for nothing.

You should be getting medicare. Medicaid mainly comes with ssi and medicare with ssdi. Also, one can only get medicare after having been on disability for 2 years. If you haven't been on disability for 2 years, that could be the why.

Merry Christmas to all. I am on Medicaid, and I get the highest amt. of ssdi.
I worked for 25 yrs, so I get a good pay from SSDI. I have been on Medicaid for 3 yrs now. My Medicare won"t kick in until after 2 yrs on SSDI.
