I have no idea what in the world could be keeping you from getting your back pay check.
I was approved for ssdi on October 9th. My first monthly check will be November 19th and I received my back pay check on October 16th. My back pay went back to November 2nd, 2005.
The only difference I can see between us is that I did not use a lawyer so my check was sent right to one of my banking accounts.
You said that when you asked ss where your back pay check was, each time they gave you different answers. Do you know now which answer they gave you was correct? If not I would call them back and let them know about the different answers you have received and that now you really need to know what is going on?
Have you talked to your Lawyer to see if he/she has received your check?
This to me doesn't make sense if I have received my check before you yet you were approved before me.
I wish you lots of luck and once you receive this check, perhaps then you can finally relax and go on with your life.
