I am at the 17 month of my appeal - I got a letter from the ajudication office that said they want to try and make an on the record decision on my case -
I have been so frustrated with all of this - they said if they could not make a decision on the record it would not effect the hearing date - Is this a good thing or just more paper work
I had an "on the record decision" made on my case and I did not have to go before the judge. My case was handled by Allsup. Do you have a lawyer helping you? I was very satisfied that there was a decision made and after the decision I did receive a copy of the court records and the comments made by the judge on my case. I think this might be good for you and I hope it is a "favorable decision".
Oh Linda, thank you so much for your reply - I have just been feeling so down about this and really needed some encouragement so your kind words are appreciated - I do have a lawyer and he says I will probably receive an answer before the end of the year as the judge is trying to clear his calendar?????????
I got an on the record decision.
I had to agree to an earlier onset date in order to get it but I did because I had been waiting so long so in other words, I only got a little back pay and I should have gotten many years more but I didn't care, I was starving and needed anything I could get.
My lawyer delayed things and if I did it over again I would get Allsup or an advocate.
I wish you well
